Newsletter 1-23-19


FRIDAY, JANUARY 25th  is an EARLY RELEASE DAY. Dismissal is at 11:45.

FRIENDSHIP DAY:
We are going to be passing out cards for Friendship Day.  There are 18 students in our room. A list is going home tomorrow.  Friendship day is February 14th.

CLASSROOM SUPPLIES:
We could use donations of spoons and Lysol wipes.

MATH:
We are working on a unit on numbers 11-15!

SCIENCE:
We are learning about animals and their habitats.

SOCIAL STUDIES:
This week we are learning about Groundhog Day!

READING:
Over the week, we have been learning our letters, upper and lowercase, and their sounds. We are also working on ending sounds.

WRITING:
We are starting a new writing unit.  Each child is adding sentences to their fabulous drawings! We are writing a complete sentence!

Newsletter 1-17-19


NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, January 21st.  EARLY RELEASE DAY on January 25th.

BIRTHDAYS:  Jayvian’s Birthday is today!

CLASS SUPPLIES: The class could use Lysol wipes and spoons.

MATH:
We are finishing a unit about 3D shapes and starting a unit on numbers 11-15!

SCIENCE:
We are learning about snow, ice, and water and their properties.

SOCIAL STUDIES:
This week we are learning about Martin Luther King, Jr.

READING:
Over the week, we have been learning our letters, upper and lowercase, and their sounds. We are also working on ending sounds. We are doing a Tacky book study.

WRITING:
We are starting a new writing unit.  Each child is adding sentences to their fabulous drawings! We are writing a complete sentence!

Newsletter 1-10-19

If you know anyone that is five years old this coming September, please remind them to register for Kindergarten next week!

BIRTHDAYS:  We celebrated Coty’s Half Birthday today!

SCHOLASTIC: Orders are due by Monday, January 14th.
